Bhramari has been years in the making, shaped by a journey from students to teachers to space holders, growing through practice, reflection, and the search for belonging. We envisioned a space where healing happens through movement, mindfulness, and real connection. A place where everyone is welcome and where growth feels within reach.
Why Bhramari?
Bhramari (pronounced brah-mah-ree) takes its name from a Sanskrit word for the humming bee’s breath, a practice that settles the mind, soothes the nervous system, and brings us back into the body. The hum is more than sound. It is a shared frequency, many voices creating one steady vibration.
We don’t practice in isolation. We breathe as a community, move as a community, and heal as a community. Bhramari exists because we need each other now more than ever, and because belonging is one of the deepest medicines we have.
Yoga
Our yoga is not about perfect poses. It is about finding your breath again. We teach in a way that is steady, grounding, and human, shaped by our own path from students to space holders. These classes offer a place to release what you carry, reconnect with your body, and feel supported by the people around you here in Bakersfield.
Meditation
This is where we learn to listen again. Our meditation and breathwork practices are simple, soothing, and created for the real pace of life in our town. Each session is a chance to soften the noise, settle your nervous system, and return to the part of you that knows how to rest. We guide from experience, presence, and genuine care.
Community
Community is not a buzzword for us. It is something we practice. After class we share tea, check in with each other, and welcome new students as if they were already part of the family. We create space for conversation, connection, and belonging so no one has to move through life alone. This is a place where relationships are real and healing is shared.
